This is a Special Edition box! The original Cobra box only featured a standard 148GTL on the box. I have updated the design so this box feaures an actual 148GTL-DX graphic of the rig on the front and on the side with the designations of the various controls. I have also updated the front to say AM / FM / SSB / CW

This has been completely reproduced from scratch. All text is full hi-res. There are NO scans on this design! This design took me approximately 100 hours of work! All the various pictures are hand drawn in high resolution vector graphics

Same size as the original box, using same thickness cardboard. Same folding/closing design as the original (ie closing flaps). The box is fully usable to store your 148, or as a superb display piece for a Radio Room

These are NOT home made. They are professionally printed, machine cut and creased to exacting standards, and matt laminated in Great Britain. Sent to you glued, ASSEMBLED and READY TO USE exactly as the pictures show. The box has a modern cut/design improving on Cobra's original design on the fold-in flaps and transition between printed sides (last picture shows this). Because the box is laminated it will last you years and years and it can wiped with a cloth if it gets "grubby"

I am an active 11m operator and have been since 1978 and I'm an Alfa Tango "Old Guard". I include FREE an A4 Alfa Tango Country Prefix List with all orders, which can be used as a quick reference when-on-air, and/or as a wall mounted "countries worked" list

I also sell the original Cobra style box in my store, which features the standard 148GTL exactly as the original box did

The OPTIONAL "Poly" is reproduced by a professional polystyrene manufacturing company in 26 Division. It is not exactly the same as the original and is made in 3 pieces - 2 to hold the radio and another to hold the mic. These do come with some post-manufacturing polystyrene dust inside - I do my best to blow this out but do be prepared to take this outdoors and give it a good blow out yourself before use
